Publish your journey publishing-the-journey
Publishing a journey activates it, allowing new profiles to enter and engage with the experiences you design. This process transitions the journey from draft to live execution. Ensure that the journey is error-free and validated before publishing. Journeys with errors cannot be activated.

Follow these steps to publish a journey:

Validation ensures that all configurations, including events, actions, and exit criteria, are properly defined and functional. For example, if an action in the journey depends on a misconfigured data source, the error prevents publication.

Select Publish from the top-right drop-down menu to publish the journey.

After publishing, the journey switches to read-only mode. In this mode, you can modify activity labels, descriptions, the journey鈥檚 name, and its description. To make deeper changes鈥攕uch as adjusting orchestration activities or adding branches鈥攃reate a new version of the journey.
Stopping a journey permanently halts its progress. Profiles within the journey stop advancing, and new profiles cannot enter. To restart the journey, duplicate it and publish the duplicate as a new journey. For example, if a seasonal campaign ends and you want to reuse its structure for a future campaign, duplicating the journey is the recommended approach.
