Sling Servlet

A Servlet is a class used to extend the capabilities of servers that host applications accessed by means of a request-response programming model. For such applications, Servlet technology defines HTTP-specific servlet classes.
All servlets must implement the Servlet interface, which defines life-cycle methods.

A servlet in AEM can be registered as OSGi service: you can extend SlingSafeMethodsServlet for read-only implementation or SlingAllMethodsServlet in order to implement all RESTful operations.

Build and Deploy

To build your project, please follow the following steps:

  • Open command prompt window
  • Navigate to c:\aemformsbundles\mysite\core
  • Execute the command mvn clean install -PautoInstallBundle
  • The above command automatically builds and deploys the bundle to your AEM instance running on localhost:4502

The bundle is also available in the following location C:\AEMFormsBundles\mysite\core\target. The bundle can also be deployed into AEM using the
