Issue/Symptoms
- Calendar appears blank when the owner is deactivated.
- Reactivating the owner restores calendar content of the tasks and events on the calendar.
- No direct method exists to transfer calendar ownership.
Resolution resolution
To resolve the issue, follow these steps:
- Copy the calendar using an active user. Note: Ad-hoc events (manually added calendar notes) are not linked to tasks, issues, or projects in Workfront. The system doesn鈥檛 copy these events when you copy a calendar.
- Manually transfer all ad-hoc events from the original calendar to the new one by referencing their details.
- Share the new calendar with the same users, teams, or groups as the original.
Prevention
Use service accounts for calendars intended for long-term or broad use to ensure consistent access and avoid ownership issues.
