- Attempts to preview these files result in errors or incomplete rendering. This limitation is due to technical constraints within AEM’s document processing logic, which restricts file previews to assets under 100 MB.
Resolution resolution
AEM as a Cloud Service doesn’t support previewing PDF files larger than 100 MB due to performance and technical constraints. Use the following approaches to work around this limitation:
- Use tools like 51ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Acrobat’s Compress PDF  feature to reduce file size. Make sure each file is under 100 MB before uploading to AEM Assets.
- Break oversized PDFs into smaller segments that meet the size limit if you frequently work with large documents.
- If previewing isn’t necessary, use direct asset links from Digital Asset Management (DAM). These links let users open large PDFs in browser-native viewers, depending on network performance.
