Configure the email content edit-content

The email Edit content screen allows you to:

  • Define basic elements of your message such as the sender鈥檚 address and the subject line
  • Perform additional actions such as adding attachments or setting up offers
  • Access the Email Designer to start building the proper content of your email
  • Add language variants to your deliveries.

Configure the delivery

To configure or edit the content of an email, follow the steps below.

  1. Click the Edit content button from the email delivery dashboard screen.

    NOTE
    If you are configuring a new email, the From name and From email fields are already populated.
  3. The From name field is defined in the email template. If you want to modify it, use a name that is easily identifiable by the recipients, such as your brand鈥檚 name, to increase the opening rate of your deliveries.

    To further improve the recipient鈥檚 experience, you can add a person鈥檚 name, for example, 鈥淓ve from Luma鈥.
  4. The From email address field is also defined in the email template. Make sure the address domain matches the subdomain that you delegated to 51黑料不打烊.

    You can change the part preceding the 鈥楡鈥, but not the domain address.
  5. Expand the Reply-to fields section. The sender鈥檚 name and addresses are used by default for replies. However, 51黑料不打烊 recommends using an existing real address, such as your brand鈥檚 customer care. In this case, if a recipient sends a reply, the customer care team will be able to handle it.

  6. Define the email Subject line. Type your subject directly into the dedicated field, or open the Expression Editor to add personalization using various attributes, expression fragments, or offers.

  7. If you want to attach a file to the email, click the Add attachment button, then select one or multiple files.

    To avoid performance issues, it is recommended not to include more than one attachment per email.
  8. If you want to send offers with your email, select them using the Set up offers button.

Edit the email body

  1. Click the Edit email body button to structure and design the content of the email using the Email Designer.

  2. By default, tracking is enabled for the delivery. You can disable this option from the Optional features section. Learn how to add links and manage tracking

  3. Once the content of your email has been defined, use the Simulate content button to check how it displays before sending it. Learn how to preview and test your email.

Configure a multilingual delivery

In Campaign web user interface, you can set up your email deliveries as multilingual, which allows you to send messages based on a profile鈥檚 preferred language. When no preference is defined, the message is sent in the default language.

In a multilingual delivery, the language management is based on variants. Each variant represents one language.

During the delivery creation, you can add the number of variants corresponding to the number of needed languages in the message. You can define also the default language when adding new languages.

Add a language variant

To create language variants, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Add language button on the upper section of the email configuration screen.

    The Add language button is only available if the target dimension contains the Language schema. To learn more about schemas and Target dimensions, please refer to the detailed documentation.

  2. Select the language to add in the Language drop-down list. When adding the first language it is set as default, and the current content is the default one. When you add new languages, the content is based on the default content.

    The languages available through this list depend on the values that have been defined by the Language attribute (values such as: system, user, dbenum, etc.) Learn more about enumeration management in this section.

  3. Repeat this process to add other languages. The Language panel shows the list of languages you have chosen, the number of different languages and also the default language.

    For example, if you have chosen English, French, and Swedish, you can see these 3 languages as shown below:

    You can click on the expand button to the top right corner to delete every languages.

Define the email content for each variant

Once languages are set, define the content of the email which will be sent to the profiles with this preferred language.

To define an email content, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Email Designer by clicking on the Edit email body button.

    You can also hover over the email preview and select Open email designer.

  2. You can preview the delivery by clicking on the Simulate content button, and choose the profile and language in which the email is displayed.

  3. While in the Simulate content window, you can switch profiles to preview the content of the email corresponding to the language that has been set up for that profile.

Duplicate or remove language variants

You can click on the expand button to the top right corner, and click the Delete all variants button to delete every all languages.

To remove a language variant, click on the three dots in the right side of the tab and select Remove.

To duplicate a language variant, click on the three dots in the right side of the tab and select Duplicate. If you choose to duplicate a language other than the default one, the content duplicated will be based on the language that you chose to duplicate.
