Classification set schema
The schema is the list of classifications that you want to apply to the key dimensions you have defined for the classification set. For example, if you have defined product as the key dimension, and this field contains a product SKU, then you use the schema to add classifications like product name, product color, product size, and more.
To edit the schema for a classification set:

In the Classifications Sets manager, select the classification set for which you want to edit the schema.

In the Classification Set: classification set dialog, select the Schema tab. That tab consists of the following interface elements:

The list of classifications has the following columns:

The following actions are available as buttons on the top of the classifications list:
Add
To add a new classification, select
In the Add a new classification for classification set dialog, enter the Classification Name and select Add. The classification is added to the list.
Upload
To import classification data into the schema for a classification, select

In the Add new classifications dialog:
- Drag a file that contains classification data and drop the file onto Drag and drop here.
- Select Browse and pick a file from your computer or network.
You see a Schema Preview of the contents of the file. The preview shows the columns of data from the file. To resize a column, select
and select Resize column. A handle appears that allows you to resize the column.When no classification is defined in the classification set for a column, an alert
is shown. The alert explains that a classification is not present in the existing classification schema set and will be created on import. -
Select Overwrite data on conflict? if you want to overwrite the current classification data with the new imported. For example:

Select Apply. An alert is displayed if columns are not present as classifications in the existing schema set. Those columns are added as new classifications when you confirm the upload.
Select Confirm Upload to confirm the upload. Select Cancel Upload to cancel the upload.
Download
To download classification data, select
In the Download data for classification set dialog:

Enter the number of Rows that you want to download. For example:
10000. -
To select the period for which you want to download rows of classification data, enter a start and end data for Download Rows Received Between. Or use
to use a calendar popup to select the period. -
To select what data to return, select an option from Data Returned.
- All values returns all values for the current classification data.
- Any columns empty returns a column with key values for the existing classification data. And columns with no value for classification data for which no value exist.

To select the file format of the downloaded classification data, select an option from the File Format drop-down menu. Options are:
- JSON.
- Comma separated values (CSV).
- Excel tab separated values (TSV or TAB).

To select the file encoding to when the file is downloaded, select an option from the File-Encoding drop-down menu. Options are:
- UTF-8.
- Latin-1.

Select Download to download the classification data. You can find the downloaded file in your browser鈥檚 default download directory, and the file is titled
Classification Set.json|csv|tsv. If the file already exists, a sequence number(x)is added to the file name.
If you have specified options that do not return any data, you see a Notice dialog that inform you to change the options for date range and data returned.
Template
To download a template for classification data, select
In the Download template for classification set dialog:

To select the file format of the downloaded classification data, select an option from the File Format drop-down menu. Options are:
- Comma separated values.
- Excel tab separated values.

To select the file encoding to when the file is downloaded, select an option from the File-Encoding drop-down menu. Options are:
- UTF-8.
- Latin-1.

Select Download to download the classification data template. You can find the downloaded file in your browser鈥檚 default download directory, and is titled
Classification Set.csv|tsv. If the file already exists, a sequence number(x)is added to the file name.
Automate
To automate the ingestion of classification, select
In the Associate / Update Ingest Location for classification set dialog:

To select a cloud location, select an option from Location Account. Only location accounts of supported account types that allow the import of classification data are shown. To create a new account, select New account.

To select a location, select an option from Location. Only the locations of selected account types for the import of classification data are shown. To create a new location, select New location.

To select a delimiter, select an option from List delimiter. The options are:
- Comma ,
- Semicolon ;
- Colon :
- Vertical bar |
- Space
- Tab

To select the file encoding when the file is downloaded, select an option from the File Encoding drop-down menu. Options are:
- UTF-8.
- Latin-1.

To notify users about the completion of ingest jobs, enter email addresses, separated by comma, for Email(s) to notify when ingest jobs completes (comma separated).

Select Validate. The connection to the cloud location is validated.

If the validation is successful, you see a toast message that shows
Location validation successful. Connection to cloud storage verified.
Select Save if you have created the connection to the cloud connection. Otherwise, select Update. Or select Cancel to cancel the configuration of the cloud location.
Action bar
The action bar shows actions available for the selected classification set. Available options are:
Add a classification set as a lookup (subclassification).
In the Attach lookup table:
- Select a lookup classification from the Classification Name drop-down menu.
- Select Add.
The lookup classification is added to the classification and listed in the Classified by column using the internal id.
